Intermediation efficiency of ukrainian commercial banks: foreign-owned versus domestically-owned banks
Abstract. This article is devoted to the comparison of efficiencies of the foreign-owned domestically-owned banks in Ukraine. For this purpose the efficiency of all Ukrainian commercial banks was estimated with the help of stochastic frontier analysis using intermediation approach for the definition of banks inputs and outputs. The result of efficiency estimation has showed that the foreign-owned banks are on average more efficient than domestically-owned.
