Food security of Ukraine in the context of globalization

Abstract. The paper is devoted to a research of the impact of economic globalization on the conditions of national food security preserving. The potential conflict between the ideological basis of economic globalization and activities within the protection of the food interests of the country’s citizens is indicated. Legitimization right of the government to strengthen its redistributive functions in the food sector of the national economy is substantiated, due to the presence of natural failures of market economic system.
