Assessment of national savings in Ukraine: formalization of approaches and identification of tendencies

Abstract. Introduction. The need for resource supply of stable growth and development of the Ukrainian economy highlights the problem of the domestic national savings general level definition as well as their components in absolute measurement.

The purpose of the study consists in an attempt to assess national savings of Ukraine by defining their structural components and revealing on this basis tendencies and prospects for resource potential of national economy development.

Results. Features, methodical and methodological difficulties of national savings components estimation are revealed, models to define their structural elements are proposed, assessment of national savings in Ukraine is carried out, on this basis tendencies and prospects for national economy investment potential are designated.

Academic novelty. Based on the Ukrainian features research, methodical approaches to the definition of national savings components are formalized, efficiency of savings usage for investment purposes is shown, tendencies of national economy investment potential formation as well as inflationary effects on the results of saving process in Ukraine are designated.

Practical importance. Results are aimed to resolve methodical and methodological difficulties of national savings and their components estimation to determine the scale and efficiency of resource potential usag for national economy development.
