Condition and dynamics of lending analysis in Ukraine (2011-2013)

Abstract. The state and dynamics of lending in Ukraine in 2011-2013 is analyzed. The changes of loans to residents, non-financial corporations and households according to maturity, economic activities and a variety of currencies are studied. Advantages and disadvantages of trends in bank lending are found. The main problem is high interest rates on loans, particularly for households. The analysis of loan debt in 2011-2013 and status of overdue loans to non-financial corporations are made. The tendencies of bank lending in 2011-2013 have been fetched out as follows: 1) The total number of loans to businesses in 2011-2013 increased. Among the loans granted, the main part was to business entities. 2) As to loans granted to individuals in the study period, their share decreased by 13.3%. 3) There was a decrease in «bad» debts in the reporting period. Theoretical recommendations for bank lending improving by public subsidizing in obtaining credit and tax incentives to borrowers are provided. A direction for further research in this area is represented.
