Abstract. The author provides an insight into the essence of such economic categories as «crisis», «development strategy», «competitiveness of the country,» «government crisis management», determines the factors of economic and financial crisis that directly and indirectly affect the strategic development of the country and its competitiveness, analyzes anti-crisis strategies of leading countries and their effectiveness.
